To do a price quote, we will need some information about your project. We have an online quote form you can use to guide you. The completed form can be printed and faxed to us at 440-275-1188. If you would rather speak to someone, call us at 440-275-1199 and we'll be happy to discuss your project over the phone.
Don't worry if some of the specs of your project are unknown, just leave that field blank. We will contact you if we need more information. Please do try to be as specific as possible so that our price is an accurate reflection of what you have in mind.
Project Timeline
- 1. Graphic Design (1-4 weeks)
- The first step in any color depositing project is to finalize
the graphic design. We can supply as much or as little design
input as you need including copywriting, typesetting, and page
layout. You can supply final art, a rough idea, or anything
in between and we can make it happen.
- 2. Color Matching (1-4 weeks concurrent with graphic design)
- Color matching can begin as soon as we receive your color
standards, even before the graphic design is finished. It is
vital that your color standards be representative of actual
production so that the matched colors provide your customers
with accurate information.
We match enough of each color to do your entire job and send sample proofs of each to you for approval. Any colors requiring adjustment will be reproofed and returned for approval. There is no limit or charge for color adjustments. Once all the colors are approved and we have printed sheets, we can begin depositing.
- 3. Offset Printing (2-3 weeks including proofing/prepress)
- Any logos, ad copy, or pictures will normally be offset printed
prior to color depositing. We buy commercial printing from outside
vendors. If you prefer to supply us with printed sheets, we ask
that you contact us early on in the project to discuss specific design
and production issues that will make the project run smoothly.
We always supply a proof of the printing for your approval, we proofread your copy, and we check all our jobs on press so there are no unpleasant surprises.
- 4. Color Depositing (1 day-6 weeks)
- After we have all colors approved and printed press sheets, we begin
color depositing. Depending on the size of the project, this can take
as little as a few hours to over a month. On large projects, it is not
uncommon for us to deliver a partial shipment while we are running the
job.
- 5. Finishing Operations (1 day-6 weeks)
- Most finishing operations are performed after depositing. Conventional operations like trimming, diecutting, laminating, folding, and shrink-wrapping are all done at this time.
The total lead time for a color card project is normally 4-8 weeks depending on the complexity of the job. As you can see, much of this time is spent in preparing for color depositing. With the exception of printing, we do all production in-house. We've found that this gives us greater control over quality and the flexibility to meet your deadlines.
